El gobernador Gerardo Zamora encabez\u00f3 este s\u00e1bado el acto central por el 214\u00b0 Aniversario de la Revoluci\u00f3n de Mayo, realizado en la Plaza Libertad, donde estuvo acompa\u00f1ado por el vicegobernador Carlos Silva Neder; la senadora Claudia de Zamora; el jefe de Gabinete, El\u00edas Su\u00e1rez, y el presidente del Superior Tribunal de Justicia, Federico L\u00f3pez Alzogaray. Adem\u00e1s de otros representantes de los poderes del Estado, junto con la intendente de la Capital, Norma Fuentes, funcionarios municipales y autoridades castrenses.
Previo a la ceremonia central se hizo el izamiento de banderas y el Tedeum en la Catedral Bas\u00edlica, a cargo del obispo diocesano de Santiago del Estero, Mons. Vicente Bokalic, quien hizo un llamado a la unidad de todos los sectores de la sociedad para salir adelante como naci\u00f3n buscando el di\u00e1logo, sin individualismos, y trabajando juntos para la construcci\u00f3n de un mejor pa\u00eds que contenga a todos.
Luego se ofreci\u00f3 el tradicional chocolate del 25 de Mayo, para continuar con el acto ante un importante marco de p\u00fablico.
Las palabras alusivas a la gesta estuvieron a cargo de la profesora Ana Mar\u00eda Hern\u00e1ndez Reimundi, quien resalt\u00f3 la importancia de esta fecha como \u201csignificativa y transformadora\u201d, a trav\u00e9s de la figura de hombres y mujeres que ofrendaron sus vidas por la independencia nacional.
El acto finaliz\u00f3 con el desfile en el que participaron instituciones educativas, miembros de las diferentes divisiones de la Polic\u00eda de la provincia y del Ej\u00e9rcito Argentino y los veteranos de Malvinas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
