{"id":5134,"date":"2024-12-06T00:38:08","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T00:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/horizontesboreal.online\/?p=5134"},"modified":"2024-12-06T00:38:10","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T00:38:10","slug":"desarrollan-actividades-para-generar-conciencia-sobre-la-prevencion-del-cancer-bucal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/horizontesboreal.online\/?p=5134","title":{"rendered":"DESARROLLAN ACTIVIDADES PARA GENERAR CONCIENCIA SOBRE LA PREVENCI\u00d3N DEL C\u00c1NCER BUCAL"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>En el marco del D\u00eda Latinoamericano y Nacional de la Lucha Contra el C\u00e1ncer Bucal, el Ministerio de Salud de la provincia realiz\u00f3 este jueves una serie de actividades para visibilizar y promover la toma de conciencia sobre la detecci\u00f3n temprana y las acciones preventivas para combatir esta enfermedad.<br>Las mismas se llevaron a cabo en la sede central del Ministerio de Salud, donde estuvieron la ministra de Salud, Natividad Nassif, y el secretario del \u00e1rea, Cesar Monti.<br>Tambi\u00e9n simult\u00e1neamente se realizaron actividades similares en los hospitales de Fr\u00edas y de Nueva Esperanza; en la UPA de El Remanso, en el departamento Loreto; en el CIC de Las Termas de R\u00edo Hondo y en El Dean, departamento Capital.<br>Durante la jornada realizaron ex\u00e1menes gratuitos para pacientes con o sin obra social; clases de gimnasia; actividades l\u00fadicas y recreativas bajo la tem\u00e1tica \u201cQu\u00e9 sabemos del c\u00e1ncer y de la salud bucodental\u201d.<br>En referencia a la jornada, Patricia Gadda, referente del programa \u00abSonrisas Santiague\u00f1as\u00bb, enfatiz\u00f3 sobre \u201cla necesidad de promover h\u00e1bitos de autocuidado y consultas odontol\u00f3gicas regulares\u201d.<br>\u201cLa prevenci\u00f3n es clave si logramos detectar lesiones de menos de dos cent\u00edmetros, la tasa de supervivencia alcanza el 90%. Es fundamental identificar tempranamente manchas blancas, rojas, pardas, llagas que no cicatrizan en m\u00e1s de 15 d\u00edas, o movilidad dentaria sin causa aparente. Estos signos deben llevar al paciente a consultar inmediatamente con su odont\u00f3logo\u00bb, explic\u00f3.<br>Entre los principales factores de riesgo mencion\u00f3 \u201cel consumo de tabaco y alcohol, cuya combinaci\u00f3n potencia las probabilidades de desarrollar c\u00e1ncer\u201d. Tambi\u00e9n alert\u00f3 sobre riesgos menos conocidos como el uso de piercings en labios o lengua, que causan lesiones continuas, y el h\u00e1bito de masticar coca.<br>Por su parte, Cesar Monti destac\u00f3 el impacto del programa provincial \u00abSacarle la lengua al c\u00e1ncer\u00bb, pionero en prevenci\u00f3n bucal, como parte del programa integral \u00abSonrisas Santiague\u00f1as\u00bb que ofrece consultas, pr\u00f3tesis y tratamientos gratuitos para quienes no cuentan con cobertura m\u00e9dica.<br>Al referirse a su crecimiento, detall\u00f3: \u00abEn 2005 cont\u00e1bamos con solo 60 odont\u00f3logos y 60 sillones odontol\u00f3gicos. Hoy, gracias al esfuerzo sostenido del Gobierno provincial, hemos alcanzado m\u00e1s de 600 profesionales y 300 consultorios distribuidos en hospitales y postas sanitarias de toda la provincia\u00bb.<br>Finalmente la ministra de Salud destac\u00f3 que el programa \u00abSonrisas Santiague\u00f1as\u00bb es un ejemplo del compromiso provincial con la salud p\u00fablica.<br>\u201cNuestra misi\u00f3n \u2013dijo Nassif- es garantizar el acceso gratuito y de calidad a los servicios odontol\u00f3gicos. Queremos que la poblaci\u00f3n tome conciencia sobre la importancia del autocuidado y que adopte la pr\u00e1ctica de consultas peri\u00f3dicas. La prevenci\u00f3n es la herramienta m\u00e1s poderosa para mantener una buena salud bucal y evitar riesgos mayores.
