En el marco de la Smart City Expo Santiago del Estero 2026, que se desarrolla los d\u00edas 20 y 21 de mayo en el Centro de Convenciones F\u00f3rum, se llev\u00f3 a cabo en la sala Juan Francisco Borges la charla sobre \u201cInteligencia artificial aplicada a la seguridad urbana\u201d, un espacio de reflexi\u00f3n sobre el impacto de las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas en la prevenci\u00f3n del delito y la gesti\u00f3n de las ciudades.
La actividad tom\u00f3 como punto de partida los datos del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, que se\u00f1alan que las ciudades de Am\u00e9rica Latina concentran algunos de los mayores desaf\u00edos en materia de seguridad ciudadana a nivel global. En ese contexto, los especialistas analizaron c\u00f3mo la inteligencia artificial y la anal\u00edtica predictiva pueden contribuir a fortalecer las tareas de prevenci\u00f3n, optimizar recursos y mejorar la capacidad de respuesta ante situaciones de riesgo.
La mesa fue moderada por el director de la Asociaci\u00f3n Latinoamericana de Seguridad, Mat\u00edas Favaro, y cont\u00f3 con las exposiciones del creador de \u00abOjos en Alerta\u00bb, Cristian M\u00e9ndez; BDM Smart Cities, NEC, Fernanda Cuadrado y el ejecutivo regional de IA, Nubax, Gonzalo Olazabal.
Durante el encuentro tambi\u00e9n se debatieron criterios vinculados a la gobernanza, la transparencia y el uso responsable de los datos en las pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas de seguridad urbana, poniendo el foco en la necesidad de implementar herramientas tecnol\u00f3gicas con una mirada \u00e9tica y eficiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
